Time, it never stops.  It wears at everything and everyone.  It causes houses and vehicles to need constant maintenance.  

Eventually, each and every person will succumb to time.  

Billions of dollars have been spent and invested to find ways to stop time.  In centuries past men went on long and dangerous quests to find supposed “fountains of youth.”  Now scientists work nonstop to find new drugs and medicines to slow the effects of time.  Unfortunately, man has always failed, but as Christians we can take joy in the fact that we serve a God who is above time. Twice in the Bible our God took control of the clock (Joshua 10:12-13, 2 Kings 20:9-11)!

While so many things that we invest our time in quickly fade away, investing our time in the things of God brings benefits that last forever.

Pastor Joel Bible and his wife Samantha both grew up here at Gospel Light. They both attended and graduated from Hyles-Anderson College. Pastor Joel started working on staff as an assistant pastor in June of 2013. On November 17th, 2024 Joel Bible became the senior pastor at Gospel Light. He and his wife have been married since August, 2013 and have four children.
